Prager Burg — Bildergalerie der Prager Burg

A representative selection of more than one hundred of the finest paintings from the Prague Castle collections. Only a few works from the famous gallery of Rudolf II survive in the castle’s current collection. The 17th century collection includes important works by Italian, German, Dutch, Flemish and other masters. A significant part of the collection consists of paintings of Czech Baroque painters, purchased in the 1930s from the Masaryk Fund. Visitors to the original Renaissance stables can view selected works of court artists; old masters of the German and Dutch Renaissance; Italian Renaissance and Mannerist artists; Central and Dutch Baroque artists, such as Titian, Tintoretto, Rubens, Hans van Aachen, Spranger, Cranach; and Czech art of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries – Petr Brandl, Jan Kupecký, Josef Mánes, Mikuláš Aleš, Vojtěch Hynais, Antonín Chitussi, Antonín Slavíček and others.
