The concert of pop-jazz singer Diva Baara, part of her Pod kůží album tour, released in the fall of 2024, invites you to listen and dance. Diva Baara, whose real name is Bára Vaculíková, creates music at the crossroads of jazz, pop, retro groove, electro-swing, and female singer-songwriter traditions. Her vibrant songs, often accompanied by the ukulele, mainly explore themes of womanhood, emotions, and relationship twists. Her first album, Debut (2017), delved into electro-swing. She later had the opportunity to open for Dutch electro-swing icon Caro Emerald at Prague’s Forum Karlín. In the fall of 2024, she released her second original album, featuring a range of guest artists, including vibraphonist Radek Krampl, pianist Jan Steinsdörfer, arranger Emil Viklický, and the S.V.A. string trio. This time, her sound shifts more towards retro soul and blues.
