Carnival celebrations at Prague Zoo

The Shrovetide celebrations at Prague Zoo will take visitors back to a time when Shrovetide symbolized the end of winter and the beginning of a joyful season. Crafts, masks, and fun for the whole family await you. The highlight will be the traditional carnival parade through the zoo grounds. Children under 15 who come in a full carnival mask will be admitted for CZK 1.

1:30 p.m. Carnival parade: starts at the Education Center
2:30 p.m. Short theater performance (Education Center)

Admission for 1 CZK is only available to visitors under the age of 15 wearing a full carnival mask, which is considered to be a mask covering the entire face (e.g., paper, plastic, fabric, painted on the face), a full-body costume, or a costume that significantly changes the appearance of the person wearing it.
