The 14th annual satirical carnival parade through the streets of Prague. Larger-than-life masks will pass through the city center and bring current social issues to life. The Velvet Carnival is part of the Festival of Freedom platform, which brings together civic initiatives organizing celebrations and commemorative events marking the anniversary of the Velvet Revolution throughout the country. The parade is traditionally attended by schoolchildren, high school and university students, civic initiatives, and various musical ensembles. The parade will pass from Kampa, across Charles Bridge, Smetana Embankment, and Národní třída to Můstek.
